Perfect Poster Placement

Poster printing Belfast

How to use posters in your Marketing Mix

Posters are an often underestimated means of advertising. While they may not be as bolshy as a billboard or as quick to produce as an online ad, they have an enduring appeal that appeals to potential clients and customers of all kinds. While a billboard can be viewed by potentially hundreds of people at the same time, a poster may only be viewed by a handful, but that connection is a more personal one. The viewer isn’t at a distance, they are usually roughly a foot to 6 feet away and reading your poster in much greater detail.

Poster Printing Belfast, Kaizen Print

Times the number of passers by, by a thousand (depending on where you place your ad), and suddenly you have a thousand viewers who have spent more time engaging with you and less time simply passively being advertised to. Your message will stick in the brains of those passers by and they’ll remember you for all the right reasons.

So where do posters fit into your marketing mix and how do you make sure that your poster gets noticed? Here’s our top tips for perfect poster placement

Perfect poster placement

Think about quantity

Now this is the obvious one. You’ll want to make sure that as many people see your posters as possible. You only have to look at all of the carefully placed posters on the London Underground to know that posters still play a key role in driving sales and leads for your brand, event, or product.

Think about quality

While ensuring as many people see your posters as possible is an obvious key advantage, if you are offering something that’s a little bespoke or niche, then you may want to consider in a little more detail the areas where you might find your target audience.

Be relevant

If your advertising your bar or pub it would make sense to put posters up in an area where people are drinking and enjoying themselves. Similarly, say you have a product that would appeal to fitness fanatics, you’ll want to see if you can drum up a relationship with gyms and leisure centres and get yourself some prime advertising spots.

Your Marketing Mix

You’ll want to not only think about how best to design your posters and get them in front of exactly the right people, but also how they fit into your whole marketing mix. Here’s a few of our top tips for marketing with posters;

Social Media

Posters are great for pairing up with social media campaigns. Like social media, your poster campaign can be a bit more lighthearted than other means of advertising, and, as neither social media or your posters necessarily have to cost the earth, there’s room to experiment and try out different approaches if you want to. Both social media and poster campaigns also have a grass roots feel to them so you can really build up a bit of a cult following for your brand.

Events

Posters are a fantastic way to tell the world about a must attend event in the local area. Combining poster printing with your other marketing channels can really make a difference to your brand’s overall exposure. Targeting a local audience via Adwords or social media and following this up with real physical posters in their neighbourhood will really drive home that this event is happening and that they need to be there.

Sales or Discounts

Again this can work very well with local campaigns. If you combine your online advertising with posters near your physical stores then it is possible to not only draw your audience’s attention to the sale, but guide them in the right direction when they are out and about in the local area.

At Kaizen Print we print high quality cost-effective posters that really help you get the message across. We also have an expert design team who can help you get your messaging just right. Christmas cards: Create the perfect personalised present this Christmas

Why Send Christmas Cards?

Christmas cards are an essential part of the Christmas tradition and have been for over 150 years. For many though not a lot of consideration goes into buying a Christmas card just the standard card does, but when thought and consideration goes into designing a Christmas card they can become so much more. A Christmas card can become more memorable and enjoyed more than the gift and here’s why.

Designing Your Own Christmas Cards

When you design your own Christmas card rather than just buy one from the shop it becomes more than just a tradition, it becomes an object which can be cherished because its personalised making it more sentimental. Whether it’s for your partner, parents, grandparents, friends, colleagues or whoever you want to direct your personalised cards towards they’ll know you mean a lot to them because you’ve went above and beyond the normal holiday tradition.

Personalised Christmas Cards

If you live away from family or friends or they live away from you a personalised Christmas card is a great way to reconnect and let them know how your getting on. For example a great Christmas card is one that shows something about you. For example if you’re sending Christmas cards to old friends from school or university why not include an image or text that would make them remember you? Or if you’re sending cards to relatives you don’t see often anymore why not include a picture of your family wearing matching Christmas jumpers, a cheesy but heartwarming gesture.

Christmas Cards for Businesses

If your sending a Christmas card to your employees there not going to think much of it if it’s simply a regular old Christmas card whereas if you personalise it, say perhaps putting a picture of the staff at a work night out on the front of it or a personalised message inside it saying “thanks for all the hard work” or something similar it really speaks volumes on how much your workforce mean to you, increasing happiness in the workplace.

Announcement / Personal Christmas Cards

If you’ve just had a new child around the holiday period combine the two major events by sending a Christmas card addressed from the newborn child, with maybe a handprint in paint to allow others to embrace in your joy.

One of the major problems with shop bought Christmas cards is that they are very impersonal, it’s easy to find ones directed towards your mum and dad or to a partner but not all relationships are as straightforward as this you might be very close with your in laws for example and want to wish them a special Christmas, finding a shop bought Christmas card isn’t an easy task.

Wall Planners

Who uses wall planners?

With the year’s end comes the ritual of many households and offices: getting new appointment books, wall planners or calendars to hang on walls or put on desks.

In an age of smartphones and the internet, you might think the days of paper calendars are numbered. However, data would suggest otherwise. Not only have they survived the digital revolution, but sales of some kinds of print calendars have increased.

While we all have calendars we can access on our phones, or via our work emails, or project management platforms, ultimately there is something about physically writing key dates down on a wall planner that just makes it seem more permanent and less likely that you will forget about.

Who uses wall planners and for what purpose?

Wall planners are used by all types of people in all kinds of different job roles as a means of keeping on top of key tasks and priorities.

Team Managers

Team managers need to know who is on their team for upcoming shifts that week. By keeping a close visual of who is working they can ensure that all shifts are accounted for and that they are fully staffed for the days ahead.

Office Executives

Office Executives have numerous deadlines that they need to meet. By having a visual reminder of their key dates, they can ensure that they are not dropping the ball on any of these tasks.

Warehouse Operatives

Like team managers, warehouse operatives may need to know who is working particular shifts that week. They’ll also want to know when deliveries will be coming in so that they can keep a track of their stock levels.

Chefs

As with warehouse managers, chefs need to know when their produce deliveries are due to arrive. This allows them to ensure their kitchen is running efficiently and that everything on the menu is always readily available.

Teachers

Just like their students, teachers need to know which classes they need to prepare for and what age groups they can expect to be teaching on that day. By having a wall planner next to them, it can be handy reminder of what they can expect from the day ahead.

Nurses

With all the coming and going and strange and changing shift patterns that nurses work with, keeping a track of shift patterns can be a daunting task. A wall planner can be a god-send.

Suppliers

Whether you are a supplier of wholesale food, stationary, or high quality printed materials like us here at Kaizen Print, you’ll want to ensure that you are on top of all of your deliveries to clients. A wall planner is a great way to remind yourself of those key dates.

So who uses wall planners and what do they use them for?

wall planner printing - kaizen print

Well… you probably do! Most of us at one time or another has found a need for a wall planner, whether it’s for reminding yourself of key dates that you have jotted down to meet people, for meeting business deadlines, or for personal use at home to juggle all of those responsibilities while you’re on the go, whatever it is, everyone can make use of a good wall planner.

For those of us who do rely on wall planners, we also rely on them heavily. More or less every day you will jot something new down, and certainly every day you will look at it to make sure that you are on top of all your tasks. And this is why it’s a great tool to keep front of mind for your clients and customers. If you brand and gift wall planners to your clients and customers, they’ll be greeted by you in a non-obtrusive and helpful way on a daily basis – not a bad way to be remembered!

If you’d like to find out more about how you can benefit from branded wall planners you can visit our planners page, get in touch via our contact form, or call us on02890022474.

2020 Calendar Printing – How to choose your perfect calendar

Calendar Printing – Choosing your perfect calendar

Whether you are giving a calendar to a friend or family member or to a business associate, client or customer, calendars are a fantastic and thoughtful gift for anyone to receive. As we creep ever closer towards Christmas, (yes… where exactly has the year gone!?) it’s the ideal time to start thinking about potential Christmas gifts to friends, family members, and anyone associated with your business, so what better idea than to buy them a personalised or branded 2020 calendar?

Calendar Printing Dublin / Kaizen Print

While it may not be the first thing that springs to mind when considering your marketing efforts, branded calendars are actually a fantastic means of advertising to your customers in a fun, useful, personalised and unobtrusive way all year round!

Ask yourself this… is there any simpler way to get in front of your target audience on a daily basis than by providing them with something that they can genuinely make use of on a daily basis? And if there is… is there any more cost-effective way to get in front of your brand in front of your target audience on a daily basis? Probably not… (You can check out just how cost-effective this option is via our calendars and planners page).

So if you were considering options for what you could buy for your friends and family, or for your key business associates, clients or customers for Christmas, then you’ve come to the right place – 2020 calendar printing is where it’s at! The next step is to decide which is to choose the perfect 2020 calendar

Here’s our top tips to choosing a perfect calendar

Before you get ahead of yourself and start designing and printing your calendars you’ll want to take a step back and ask yourself a few questions, like…

Who is the calendar intended for?

As with any good gift, you should consider who you’re sending it to and why before go out and buy it. Whether it’s a pair of novelty socks or a nodding car dog, we’ve all received (or given) naff presents from time to time, so understanding your audience is key before deciding on the best option for your 2020 calendar

Where does your recipient work?

Providing calendars to business associates, clients and customers, is slightly different to giving a calendar to family and friends, as there are a few more barriers between you and your customers – namely, you might not know the person/or people that you are sending to, or you may know a representative of the business for example but not have had contact with all staff. When choosing your 2020 calendar printing and design options you’ll therefore want to take what you do know about your recipients and determine the best course of action from there.

What kind of business are you sending to?

Rather than necessarily thinking about your recipients as individuals like you would if you were gifting a 2020 calendar to friends and family, it’s best to think about your recipients as an overall group and the characteristics that they all share – namely where they work and what they do. This will ensure that you are still personalising and tailoring your calendar to your audience, while at the same time being relevant to the specific relationship that you have with them.

What would be most suitable to send to these businesses?

Do you work in a creative agency type environment, or do you provide services to businesses involved in financial services, or manufacturing for example? What kind of calendar might be useful for the specific workplaces you are sending to? Here’s a rundown of some of your options:

Year Planner

Calendar Printing Dublin / Kaizen Print

A year planner is great for anyone who may need to see the whole year on one page. Ideal for anyone who needs a full perspective on upcoming plans.

Wall Calendar

Much like the 2020 calendar you would gift to family and friends, a wall calendar is a fantastic idea if you’re looking for something a bit more personal. Wall calendars also give you extra space for you to be creative with photographs and images.

Desktop Tent Calendars

Alternatively, something a little more discreet might be the best option. In this instance you could opt for a desktop tent calendar.

What kind of business are you?

As much as it is important to tailor your calendars to the recipients, you should also consider your own brand and your own business. It’s important to get your own personality across too in the calendar print and design that you opt for.

Once you have some answers to these questions you should be in a position to create a perfect calendar! For more information you can visit our calendars and planners page, or get in touch via our contact form or by calling 02890022474

The ultimate guide to brochure printing

Brochure Booklet Printing

In this guide we’ll discuss the advantages of using brochures within your business and we’ll take you through your options when it comes to brochure printing and what’s best for your business.

Why should you invest in brochure printing?

In spite of all of the possibilities when it comes to displaying your products and services online, brochures still remain extremely effective. So why, when so much is possible and available online, do customers still find brochures so appealing?

Here’s three reasons why brochures remain so popular and therefore so effective:

People like something physical to read

Brochure_Printing_Dublin_Kaizen_Print

As much as it is possible to create visually appealing products and images on your website, and as effective as this type of advertising no doubt is, there is something about having a real tangible brochure that remains appealing to people. Rather than being detached from the product, having it there on a page just seems that one step closer to the real thing.

They will focus on it for longer

Attention spans online are notoriously short. Web users are so used to scanning content online that they simply filter out all of the noise that is going on around them in that space (at least the majority of the time) and are either blind to what you have to say, or they won’t hang around for long for you to say it. With a brochure you have your audience’s undivided (at least in terms of what’s on the page in front of them) attention.

They look really nice

Brochures are great if you have a particularly visual product as there is just something about a really nice looking photograph or image on a page that resonates with an audience. Again, while amazing things can be achieved online when it comes to presenting visual content, there is still something that remains completely unique to a photograph or image printed on a page that will always resonate with an audience and get them to buy into your product or service.

What do you need to know?

So now that you have taken the wise move to opt for a brochure as part of your marketing strategy, what else do you need to know?

At Kaizen Print we offer you A5 portrait brochures, A5 landscape brochures, and A4 portrait brochures

A4 Brochure Printing

Brochure_Printing_Dublin_Kaizen_Print

A4 brochures are ideal if you need a little more space to feature your offering. If you sell houses, or holidays you may want to take a step back and allow a bit more space for expansive photography. A4 brochures enable you to do this, while also giving s little more room if you need to talk about what you have to offer in more detail.

A5 Brochure Printing

If you do not feel that you require the extra space to explore your product or service then you may want to opt for an A5 option. A5 brochures are ideal If you want to display your product range without a great deal of written content to go along with it. And there is still room in an A5 brochure of course to display your houses or holidays (if that’s what you have to sell), it’s just about being creative in regards to how you display what you have to offer.

What binding is best for your brochure?

There are three main options for binding your brochure. These include:

Saddle stitched brochures

A cost effective option that is used as standard to display products and services in a sleek and attractive way.

Wire bound brochures

Ideal if you need your brochure to be a little sturdier. Wire bound brochures are highly durable and are ideal if your brochure is likely to be used on a regular basis.

Perfect bound brochures

If your brochure has a very large number of pages then it might be best to opt for a perfect bound brochure that is glued to the spine of your brochure rather than stapled.

For more information on the options you have available to you when it comes to your brochure design and printing you can visit our booklet and brochure printing page, or alternatively you can get in touch via our contact form, or by calling 02890022474.

Letterheads Best Practice

Letterhead_KaizenPrint

When considering your options for letterheads, it is vital that you can answer three key questions. Namely, these questions are:

  1. What do you want to achieve with your letterheads?
  2. What information do you want to include in your letterheads?
  3. Are your answers to these questions right for a letterhead format?

In this article, we’ll take a quick look at these questions, and hopefully, this will give you a better idea of how to move forward with your letterheads.

What do you want to achieve with your letterheads?

letterheads_Kaizen_Print

Before you start any project, it is vital that you know what you are trying to achieve. Letterheads are usually used for correspondence with customers in regards to formal matters. You will no doubt have received numerous letters from either utility companies or broadband providers in which they are communicating with you in regards to either your latest bill or changes in service. In these instances, you would expect a contact number and email address that is specifically relevant to the content of the letter.

Ensuring you provide a simple and clear solution to any questions your customers may have in regards to your communication should be the number one priority of your letterhead.

What information do you want to include in your letterheads?

As mentioned above, what you want to achieve with your letterheads, will be dictated by the expectations of your customers. First and foremost, therefore, you’ll want to make sure that you have outlined all the circumstances in which you might need to contact your customers via mail, and all of the contact numbers and email addresses that are relevant to this particular communication. Once you have met the needs of your customers, you can then consider the overall objectives of your business and how they might be included within your letterhead. Key considerations after this would consist of,

  • Increasing trust (i.e. associated awards or regulatory bodies)
  • Increasing brand presence (your letterhead should be branded)
  • Key initiatives (long-term goals or key brand messages)

Are your answers to these questions right for a letterhead format?

Once you’ve decided what is a necessity and what would be nice to have, you’ll no doubt have more information and content than you will need. Whittle down your choices to only the key information and then you’re all set to go ahead with the design.

Design & print best practices

Now that you’ve concluded what to include on your letterheads and how you want to brand them, it’s time to design them. For this, we’d recommend keeping to the following guidelines.

Keep it simple

With letterheads, you don’t have a great deal of space to work with. As with the planning stages of your letterheads, the design elements should also seek to reduce any aspects that may be unnecessary to what you are trying to achieve. A nice and simple design will be most effective in achieving the results that you are after, and will minimise the chances of your recipients being either confused or reacting negatively to a poorly designed letterhead

Keep it professional

Whether you work for a formal business or one that is more light-hearted in its approach, letters are a formal mode of communication, and your letterheads are therefore perhaps not the place to go too wild when it comes to how you communicate your brand with your audience. This is not to say that there is no room for creativity, far from it, however, of all of your marketing communications, this may be the one that is best kept formal in your approach.

Make it stand out

Now this may seem like a difficult task, given the first two design suggestions, but if you can think of a creative way to stand out, while abiding by the expected conventions and limited space available within your letterhead then by all means take advantage of this space to communicate a message to your audience that will grab their attention and resonate with them in some way.

Go for a high-quality print job

Your design can be spot on, but if the print is grainy or faded, it’s going to be noticed for the wrong reasons. Make sure you use a print company you trust and can rely on to represent you and your brand in the way that you want it to be represented.

At Kaizen Print we can give you a fantastic choice of letterhead printing options on both A4 and A5 paper. Our letterheads are exceptionally high quality and are available single or double-sided, and on 120gsm uncoated paper. Our expert design team can also help with any design queries you may have in regards to your letterhead design. To find out more you can visit our letterhead printing page, get in touch via our contact form, or call us on 02890022474.

Why you shouldn’t buy cheap business cards

Why you shouldn’t buy cheap business cards

In a world where there is no shortage of means to connect with one another, a cheap and flimsy business card is not going to cut the mustard when it comes to making the right impression with your clientele or business associates. If you are looking for a quick, cheap and easy way to connect with relevant people within your business circle then we’d suggest simply connecting via linkedin or passing your contact details over by phone or email. Where a business card is effective however is in its quality of connection.

A high quality business card tells the recipient the following about who you are and what you do;

  • You care about first impressions
  • You are professional
  • Your business is professional
  • What you have to offer is high quality
  • You care about the connections you make

Having a low quality or cheap business cards on the other hand can have the opposite effect. A cheap business card can make you look;

  • Unprofessional
  • Like a cheap product or service
  • Like you lack care in first impressions
  • Out of touch

The whole point of a business card is to gain trust with the important people that you meet. The simple function of passing on your details is no longer needed, and to pass on a poor quality business card is to misunderstand the whole transaction that is taking place.

Business_Cards_Belfast. Kaizen Print

A high quality business card on the other hand, tells the person that is receiving it, that you care enough about your connection with that person enough that you are willing to spend a little extra on developing it. It also tells the recipient how you go about your business. If you present an attractive and high quality business card (rightly or wrongly), you will naturally come across as an individual that is both more professional and more focused on the details, than the contrary, which instead looks unprofessional and lacking in attention to the finer details.

What makes for a high quality business card?

A high quality business card is not just one that you pay more for, it is one that has certain traits. It is still possible to pay a high price and end up with a cheap looking business card. Here’s what to look for in a high quality business card;

  • A higher quality, thicker material
  • A high quality print finish
  • A nice overall design
  • Appropriate info and contact details
  • A high quality colour finish

You can spend more on a business card and still end up with a cheap looking final product if your design isn’t right. If you try to include too much information on your business cards, it can start to become overcrowded and unattractive to look at. Similarly if the design of your business card is inconsistent or unprofessional looking, it can have a negative effect on the overall look and feel of the card.

When designing your business cards, you should instead try to ensure that you keep it as clean, simple and free from unnecessary information as is possible, and instead concentrate on a few embellishing touches just to bring it to life a little – maybe a gold trim, or something like that, just to lift it and give it that x-factor.

Business_Cards_Belfast. Kaizen Print

You’ll also want to ensure that you use a high quality material. There is nothing worse than a flimsy or cheap material when it comes to business cards. You want your business card to be considered too good to just throw out, and to ensure that your valued recipient does not simply toss it in the bin, you’ll need to provide that extra little bit of quality.

To find out more about how we can help you with your business card design and printing needs you can visit our business cards page. Here we offer you a range of different options including standard business cards, luxury business cards and kraft business cards. Each option offers you a little something different, and we ensure that no matter which option you choose, it will look and feel high quality.
